I have always had an interest in photography since my early years growing up in Colorado. I began to seriously pursue photography as more than just a hobby in 1984 when I moved to the Pacific Northwest. After serving 24 years in the military, I retired in Alaska and decided to seek a career as a freelance photographer.

I especially enjoy photographing wildlife and landscapes because of the unlimited possibilities presented in those particular types of photography. Some awards that I have achieved are: "Best of Show", First Place in "Scenic" and Third Place in "Animals" in the 2001 Fur Rendezvous Photo contest. Also in 2001, one of my photos was selected for Third Place in the "Alaskan Life" category of Alaska Magazine's "Alaska Exposed" contest. In 2002 I was recognized as "Best of Category, Landscape" in the Alaska Wild 2002 photo competition, as well as having three other images selected for the statewide and national traveling exhibit. My vision as a photographer is to capture on film the beauty of the natural world and I hope that my passion for it is evident in my work.
